1) Eligibility & Age Requirements

1. You must be at least 13 years old to use NGShorts.
2. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the Service only with permission of a parent/guardian.
3. We may request age verification or restrict features based on age.

2) Account Registration & Security

1. You may need an account to use certain features (posting, commenting, following, reporting).
2. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.
3. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and activity under your account.
4. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3) Your Use of the Service

You agree to use NGShorts lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

• Break any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer, or abuse the Service.
• Circumvent security, access controls, or restrictions.
• Use bots/automation to spam, fake engagement, or manipulate the platform.

4) Content You Post

“Content” includes videos, images, audio, captions, comments, profile information, messages, links, and metadata.

4.1 Your Responsibility

• You are solely responsible for the Content you upload, post, or share.
• You represent that you own the Content or have the necessary rights to use it.
• Your Content must not violate law, privacy rights, or third-party rights (including copyright).

4.2 License You Grant to NGShorts

To operate and improve the Service, you grant NGShorts a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, and modify your Content for platform delivery, promotion, and safety/moderation.

This license ends when your Content is deleted, except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, investigations, dispute resolution, or backups/caches for a limited time.

4.3 Removal

We may remove or limit visibility of Content at any time if we believe it violates these Terms, laws, or platform safety rules.

5) Prohibited Content & Child Safety (CSAE/CSAM)

NGShorts has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). You must not post, share, request, or encourage sexual content involving minors, grooming, solicitation, or exploitation.

Enforcement may include removal, bans, preservation of evidence, and reporting to relevant authorities as required by law.

6) Community Conduct

You must not post or engage in harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, violence incitement, extremist content, fraud/scams, illegal goods/services, or promotion of self-harm or suicide.

7) Copyright & Intellectual Property

• NGShorts respects intellectual property rights.
• If you believe content infringes your copyright or trademark, contact us with sufficient details to investigate.
• Repeated infringement may result in account termination.

8) Links, Third-Party Services, and Ads

The Service may include links to third-party sites/services and may display ads. We do not control third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

9) Rewards, Wallets, and Payments (If Enabled)

If NGShorts offers rewards, wallet balances, or withdrawals, they may be subject to eligibility, limits, verification, and anti-fraud checks. We may delay, withhold, reverse, or refuse payouts where we suspect abuse or face legal/compliance risk.

10) Privacy & Data

Your use of NGShorts is governed by our Privacy Policy: /privacy.

11) Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, we must comply with law, we need to protect users, or we suspect fraud or security issues.

12) Account Deletion

You can request account deletion here: /account-deletion. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud prevention, investigations, dispute resolution, or compliance obligations.

13) Disclaimers

NGShorts is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. User content is created by users; we do not endorse and are not responsible for it.

14) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NGShorts will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits/data/goodwill. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid (if any) in the prior 12 months, or a minimal statutory amount where applicable.

15) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NGShorts from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your Content, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights.

16) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

17) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be handled in courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria, unless consumer law requires otherwise.
